This is a tool any hobbyist will wonder what they did without it since it is so user-friendly. If accuracy is what you are in need of with those tedious projects, then the Dremel Trio is ideal with it’s 360 degree cutting technology and plunge-cut ability. In addition, the Dremel Trio Tool Kit contains attachments for many small home improvement projects you may want to tackle.
Another desirable feature of the Dremel Trio is the pivoting handle that allows for ease in working on a horizontal or vertical work surface. The best features are easy to identify, but the Dremel Trio 6800-01 has it’s critics. It’s biggest problem is that Dremel limits you to buy special proprietary bits and accessories to fit its 3/16″ collet. This can pose an inconvenience if the choices they have are not to your liking.
Most other complaints are about it’s lack of ruggedness and ability to do heavier work. The best tip I can offer is to let the tool do the work, it can’t be forced. Then it’s smooth sailing.
This multi-faceted tool is great when used for more crafty jobs or smaller tasks as outlined in the earlier description. This probably won’t make you happiest if you’re looking for a heavy duty router, heavy duty sander, or heavy duty scrolling jigsaw.
